Todays feature is an incredibly sweet surprise gesture submitted by not the bride but the brides sister, Dharshini. Dharshini is over the moon that her sister found her soulmate in her husbands cousin and now that they are able to continue living as one big happy family. The Love Story of Priya & Logan
There is an old Tamil saying that goes something like this “when there is a wedding going on, there is another one in the planning.’ I suppose that’s what happened to my youngest sister, Priya and my husband’s closest cousin brother Logan, on our wedding day back in December 2013. Both were our PAs, running errands and doing the related wedding tasks as my husband and I were the stars for the day. Working together cemented their friendship although they both knew each other for as long as I knew my husband (we dated for 6 years before we got hitched!).
However, Logan was based in Kuala Lumpur (KL) as he works as an IASP Automation Specialist and Priya was still pursuing her Accountancy studies in the University in Pahang. Both were popular with the opposite sexes and had a string of admirers to deal with yet they remained good friends. Since my husband and his cousin are inseparable, I moved in with them after the wedding and when Priya got a job in KL in the middle of 2014, she moved in with us. Well that was when the sparks flew with these two. Logan who swore he was destined to be an eternal bachelor and Priya who claimed that she didn’t like him very much in the beginning started to spend more time together and became closer. The family knew that they will end up together but we just didn’t know when. So we were pleasantly shocked but secretly pleased when Logan proposed to Priya on her 26th birthday on April 27, 2017 in Bali amidst a very romantic setting.
Wedding planning went on swiftly after that. Both were hands on and had the support of family and friends. They had a grand engagement party in a garden setting on October 28, 2017 in Ipoh and they tied the knot on May 27, 2018 in Seremban. It was a beautiful wedding and my sister in law even remarked that she has never seen a couple so much in love with each other like these two. They both only had eyes on each other and appeared thoroughly enjoying the wedding ceremony. That night, an intimate party for family and close friends was held at a bar where the party continued till the wee hours of the morning. A few days later, they both took off to Bali to enjoy their honeymoon at the very same place they decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
Priya and Logan’s love story is a sweet one where they started off as friends and ended up being married to each other. They took time getting to know each other and it is heart-warming to know that they decided to take the plunge as it’s always nice to marry your best friend.
My sister used to be very clingy to me as a child as I am the eldest and she is the youngest so it’s funny how she ended up getting married to my husband’s cousin as now we share the same in laws!
Oh and if you are wondering if they still live with us, they don’t. They live together in a very nice love nest ☺
