My varunkala manaivi (future wife) and I got engaged with my family and our close friends following the COVID restrictions in Alberta, Canada.
Tina and I have been together for over 3 years and decided to get engaged. We had our fair share of challenges that most LGBTQ+ individuals face but we have overcome every challenge to be here together. The main thing is that my family including my Pati (Grandma) are supportive of us now. It took a long time but it happened. If it worked out for me and Tina, I know it will work out for other out there like us.
