Our whole aspiration for this website and instagram page was to help those planning their ideas have a one stop shop for innovations and inspiration. You can bet your top dollar we were beyond overjoyed when this bride reached out to us to let us know that our page had been exactly that for her when planning her big day! Side note, we may or may not have shed tears when we heard this because it truly felt like all our hard work was coming full circle so without any more sappy talk about how happy we are, let’s get to our lovely couple Mariline and Pragash!
Pragash and I met in Paris as we used to work in the same building. Pragash is a sales engineer and I am a Banking project manager.
After meeting at a lunch with colleagues, we quickly started seeing each other. we started to rediscover Paris together from drinks in fancy Parisian bars, exploring the museums, trying all the brand new restaurants, dancing with friends, and so on… ! We both soon realized that our relationship was special and unique, built on our love for travelling together and sharing new experiences everyday. I would say that our secret is that we live our lives to the fullest, we share with each other and surround ourselves with all the love we can give ( it makes our love grow stronger everyday).
After four years of being in a relationship, Pragash decided to propose during our trip to Bali and he had planned a perfect moment. Life, however, is full of unexpected events (Passport issues! Make sure to check those expiry dates everyone!) and we ended up getting engaged in London. It ended up being one of our best trip together! As Pragash said during his proposal : ”Will you dance with me Mariline, even under the rain ?”
One of our famous quote from Sénèque: ”Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain”
We tried to have a simple and elegant wedding, in a Parisian villa (Hotel Particulier) close to the Eiffel Tower, and had the ceremony under the veranda. It was an intimate wedding where we asked all our family to dress up in white and gold outfits, which we bought in London for the event. We chose every detail meticulously as we wanted the day to be timeless and full of love.
Tie The Thali would like to thank this lovely couple for sharing their big day with us and our readers. We wish them nothing but the best for their married life!
